How to get to Maynooth University

Taxi

• A taxi from Dublin Airport to Maynooth University costs €60-€80 approx.

 

Public transport

• Bus and Train Combination

  • Take a bus (such as Dublin Bus routes 16 or 41, or an Aircoach) from Dublin Airport to Drumcondra Train Station. The ride takes about 30 to 45 minutes.  Alternatively, board the Dublin Express Bus outside Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 (Route 782/784) to Dublin City Centre and alight at Custom House Quay or Eden Quay stop. Connolly Station is a 5-minute walk from there.

  • Board an Irish Rail commuter train from Drumcondra/Connolly Station directly to Maynooth Train Station. The train ride takes about 30 to 40 minutes.

  • Walk from Maynooth Station to the university campus (about a 10–15 minute walk).

  • Expressway (Bus Éireann) operates occasional direct services (Route 22) from Dublin Airport to Maynooth.

  • It is the most direct option without transfers, but buses run infrequently (roughly every 4 hours), so check timetables in advance. ​​
